I won't lie. The atmosphere is right up there with the low end of truck stops but the food more than makes up for it. This is the best Asian food in Boise.

Food is so amazing. But if your ordering take out, its best just to go and wait. They are absolutely horrible about answering their phone. Still worth it

Service was super friendly. Food can be authentic pho or Americanised versions. They also manage to do Chinese food better than some Chinese food places. Yum.

The service was really good, looked clean. Food was really bland, and didn't seem fresh at all. All the meat seemed dry. Based on the previous reviews, I was really excited to eat here, but I was really disappointed with the food.

First and foremost the service at this place is world class such a good experience here. This place is a lot of fun to eat if you enjoy authentic Vietnamese cuisine. They have some of the best menu options I've seen yet. The food is spot on lots of flavor and cooked perfectly this is definitely an idaho gem.

I go here for the Cha Gio. My daughter really likes it, my wife and I love it, and we even introduced one of my daughter's friends to it, who really liked it. Their crab ragoons are good. I really haven't had anything else here. Their Cha Gio is the reason we go here. We keep talking about stopping for dinner, but most of the time, if we are in that part of town, we'll make a stop for these, and take them home to eat them. Highly recommend at least the Cha Gio, and everything else is as as good as that or the Crab Ragoons, you are going to have a delicious meal.

Food is good, but they aren't open on the weekends

Horrible. I ordered the fried spring rolls and this was what I got inside. They appeared to be the plain clear noodle, nothing else. I was expecting ground meat, mushroom,etc...this had got to be a joke.

Mostly unhealthy. I'm confused why my noodles are so hard. Reminds me of instant ramen. Service was friendly.

They leave their garbage out back for all the neighborhood to deal with and leave poorly maintained greese bin out back that smell and is a complete eye sore. I would like to see them go away or clean up and care about their community around them.

I came to this restaurant because it was recommended by a former local. They seem to have regulars that frequent them and love their food, but unfortunately it just didn't appeal to me. I had the wonton noodle soup which was packed with vegetables, wontons, bbq pork, and noodles, but the flavor was off for me. The staff is friendly and great customer service. I just wish I had liked it.

Rather plain and unimpressive interior but really delicious food.

We surprised them with a group of 14 people. They handled it great. The food was good and hot and the 1 waitress on staff met all of our needs. We will definitely be back.

Place use to be 5 star but went downhill awhile ago. I kept going back hoping it would get better again because of how great it once was. The service is awesome, it’s just the food that’s the issue. It isn’t good and has a dirty taste to it now.

Spicy chicken with pork fried rice is the best dish here and it is easily the best Asian meal in the entire Treasure Valley.

Asian food often intimidates me and I tend to be really picky about it. We go to Dong Kjanh and always order the same dish. The Spicy Chicken with fried rice and Cha Go. Or you can just order Spicy Chicken or Cha Go. They are both phenomenal. I'm pretty sure it is their most popular dish, and for very good reason. Trying to replicate either of the dishes at home has been an astronomical failure. I don't know what their secret is, but these two dishes hit it out of the park. It is a little of a hole-in-the-wall type of place, but trust me when I say the spicy chicken and Cha go are worth your time and money!

The restaurant was quiet and quaint. I started off I with the goi cuon and it was awesome. I had the the spicy chicken. It was not at all spicy, but had a good flavor. The cha gio was just okay. My husband had the house specialty mi xao noodles. The meats in the noodles didn't have much flavor but overall it was okay. The service was amazing. Our server stopped by multiple times and she was very nice. The price was great for the portions. I think I will go back, I'll just make sure to ask for extra spicy chicken.

Excellent food and service! The server recommended a dish after I told them I had never been there before. It was a great lunch and I had leftovers.

Big portions. Made to order Pho with meatballs & steak. No leftovers. The Crab Rangoon had actual crabmeat! Fair prices too.

Been coming here with my husband for about a year now. We’ve had Pho at many restaurants in the valley and Dong Khan is by far the best and most authentic! Love the new dine-in decore!!!

Just a mom's and pop's type of restaurant, but the food was really quite good. Fresh made to order and veggies were crisp and had good flavor. Portion size was big enough for to-go boxes. I'd come back again when in the area.

The food was great! Some of the best food we have had. The server was also amazing! Very knowledgeable and made great suggestions on menu items. I highly recommend the A7 and Family Delight.

This place was awful. We were moved from the table of 5 because we were only 4. Their tables are very small and cramped. They waited was very argumentative about how he messed up our order. He also laughed at us while he argued. My food was horrible, my sweet and sour pork had huge chunks, and the batter was raw. God knows the pork might have been too. He didn't bring us cutlery, we had to steal it from another table. He fought with us about everything that we told him he did wrong. This place is close from work, but never again. He also messed up out check. The food was bad, the waiter was the worstOur drinks were never filled, we had to chase him down in order to do get more soda and water out of him. Do not come here to eat

I love this place. Great wait staff and ownership. Never have been disappointed and I have eaten here at least 40 times. Thank you. The chai gao is the best around.

Our favorite Vietnamese place!

It is a very good restaurant the food is clean it tastes good the tables are clean very good service. What I like the most is the fact that the hostess doesn't overly host but is a very attentive to the needs of their customers it would be interesting to see more people there in the evening. I have ate here twice once in the afternoon during lunch time, they were extremely busy. On the other hand, in the evening they don't have as many people so if you want to try this place out in the evening is the best time to give this place some of your time.
